On December 28, Mercury entered Capricorn and on December 30, Mercury turns retrograde and starts moving back into Sagittarius. This is the last Mercury retrograde of the year and Mercury will go direct January 18, 2023 and will re-enter Capricorn February 7, 2023.

Mercury is very attached to this arrow that is aimed at the future and is about forward thinking ideas and movement. So going retrograde , those arrows can come back to hurt you if deliberation and caution are not used.

Mercury is happy to reside here, but will conflict with Jupiter, who will use his majestic powers to expand Mercury’s mishaps. Uttarashada covers the latter part of Sagittarius and the beginning of Capricorn. Sagittarius provides the drive for completion, while Capricorn couples hard work with perseverance. The Sun symbolizes leaders and authority, so Uttarashada relates to searching for power and dominance. Mercury will get some relief when it moves back to Capricorn in the new year. It will bring about a desire to disperse facts and information and facts in a big way, but be careful what you share and how you share it.
